We’ve noticed that many of you have taken to the footpaths, bridleways and roads on your feet and on your bikes whilst the gym is out of action, which is awesome. It’s great to see so many of you getting out in the open and doing some fitness under your own steam.
With that in mind we thought it would be great idea to set up a UNIT 22 Club on Strava, so that you could log your walks/runs/cycles and see what your fellow UNIT 22 crew had been up to as well. There’s some cool activity leaderboards and achievements boards for you to stay up to date with what other people are doing and see how you’re fairing against the rest of the UNIT 22 Club.
We might post up some challenges/events every now and then to see how people get on with them. For now, you can check out the latest activity in the graphic below and become part of the club via the Strava app. If you haven’t got the app, it’s really simple to sign up and get going, just search for “Strava” in the app store and create a profile. It’s a great app to have because you can track your route, walk/run/bike already set routes, and track your heart rate and calories too!
If you’d like some tips on running or you would like a programme to follow and build up your endurance, we’re offering FREE “Couch to 5km” and “Couch to 10km” programmes. This will make sure you’re progressing at the right pace, allows you to track your progress and reduces the likelihood of injuries along the way. Just email us on firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll get you on your way.
